Housewife found dead in the capital’s Kafrul

The homeowner repeatedly knocked on Rozi’s flat in the morning, but received no response

Police have found a housewife dead in her ground-floor flat at Ibrahimpur Bazar under Kafrul police station in Dhaka on Tuesday around noon.

The deceased, Rozi Akhter, 28, wife of a KSA-expatriate, has two children, police said.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media) Yusuf Ali said: “The woman might have been killed sometime after 11am. She was stabbed to death in the neck and legs.”

On the day, the homeowner repeatedly knocked on Rozi’s flat in the morning, but received no response.

He then informed the police who, after reaching the spot, broke open the door and recovered the dead body, he said.

Rozi’s body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Police have yet to reveal anything about the killer, citing an ongoing investigation.
