Two cattle traders found dead

Members of law enforcers recovered the bodies of two cattle traders from Katakhali Bridge area on the Rangpur-Bogra Highway under Gobindaganj upazila in the district yesterday. One of the deceased was identified as Shajalal, 50, son of Paran Ali Bhuiyan, resident of Tolatuli village of Daudkandi upazila in Comilla district. Identity of the other deceased could not be known immediately. On information, police recovered the bodies from a banana orchard of the area. Later, the bodies were sent to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.

ABM Jahidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj police station, said miscreants might have killed the cattle traders and took away their money and cattle.

Police also recovered a cattle purchase receipt from the pocket of one of the deceased.

A case was filed in this connection.
