A minor girl was killed as a speedy ambulance hit her at Maniram Bazar in Borhanuddin upazila of Bhola
At least 12 people were killed and 28 others injured in road accidents in different districts across the country on Friday.
In Mymensingh, four people were killed and 25 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Ishwarganj upazila, our correspondent in the district reports.
Officer-in-Charge Badrul Alam Khan of Ishwarganj police station said the accident took place at Char Hossainpur around 11am.
Identities of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately.
The injured people were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and local clinics.
In Natore, three teenagers were killed as a bus rammed into their motorcycle on the Bonpara-Hatikumrul road in Kachikata area of Gurudashpur upazila.
The deceased are Rakib Pramanik, 17, a Secondary School Certificate examinee; Abdul Hakim, 14, an eighth grader of Jogendranagar High School; and Md Bayezid, 17, a garage worker.
Rakib and Hakim were the residents of Jogendranagar village, and Bayezid was of Masinda village in the upazila.
In Feni sadar upazila, a covered van abruptly hit a pickup van on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Chhnua area around 8:30am, leaving the latter’s driver and one of his two helpers dead.
The deceased two were identified as Iqbal Patwary, 30, of west Fazilpur area in Feni sadar upazila, and his assistant Mohammad Shamim, 25, of Senbagh upazila in Noakhali.
With severe injuries, another assistant, Mohammad Ali, was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
In Madaripur sadar upazila, a couple was killed and their two children were injured while a pickup van hit another van carrying them in Pakhira area at 1:30pm, confirmed Officer-in-Charge Kamrul Hasan of Sadar police station.

The deceased was identified as Most Sanjida, 9.
