Despite not being able to speak the words to express their feelings, two speech impaired individuals separated by hundreds of miles still managed to communicate their love with the help of social media
As love tends to do, it once again conquered all and brought together two souls who, despite not being able to verbalise their feelings, managed to come together and find marital bliss.
Like a true modern love story, Siraj Ahmed and Fabiha Khanam Panna’s romance began through social media.
Yet, like love stories of old, theirs was not without its many trials and tribulations.
Family members said the two had first met on Facebook about two years ago. As their chat thread grew longer, so did their love.

However, with Siraj hundreds of miles away in the UK, the two were unable to meet. Being speech impaired, they were unable to speak with one another. The odds were clearly stacked against them.
As their courtship progressed, Siraj, unwilling to stay away from his beloved any longer, crossed the oceans to be united with Fabiha.
Within a week of returning to Bangladesh, Siraj, his mother and brother joined Fabiha’s family in finally making their dream wedding a reality on Friday.

Siraj’s cousin Alim Uddin said the two families were elated at Siraj and Fabiha’s decision and readily gave their blessings.
Siraj’s family headed over from their hometown in Moulvibazar to Fabiha’s family home in neighbouring Habiganj for the nuptials.
To make the happy occasion even more joyous, ten of Siraj’s friends, who are all also speech impaired, attended the ceremony.
Using sign language, both the lovers and their friends expressed what a delightful and memorable occasion it was for them all.
