DIG Ali Akbar Khan made acting chief of CID

Ali Akbar Khan joined the Bangladesh Police in 1995 through the 15th Bangladesh Civil Service (Police) cadre.

DIG Ali Akbar Khan has been assigned the additional responsibility of serving as the acting chief of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Bangladesh Police.

The appointment was made through a notification issued by the Police Headquarters on Monday.

Ali Akbar Khan joined the Bangladesh Police in 1995 through the 15th Bangladesh Civil Service (Police) cadre.
 
Born on September 21, 1967 in Chandpur, he has built a distinguished career marked by professionalism, integrity, and dedication to public service.

Throughout his career, he has held several important positions in Bangladesh Police, serving with distinction in Range Police, Police Headquarters, and the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs. His contributions in these roles have earned him widespread recognition within the law enforcement community.

With extensive experience in policing and public administration, Ali Akbar Khan is expected to lead the CID in its ongoing efforts to strengthen criminal investigations and uphold the rule of law.
