A Dhaka Court has deferred the charge framing hearing against 23 BNP leaders including party acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir until August 3 in a case filed with Shahjahanpur police station.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Tarek Mainul Islam Bhuiyan deferred the charge framing hearing following a time petition filed by a defence lawyer on Tuesday.
Police submitted a charge sheet the case filed with Shahjahanpur police station against 23 BNP men including Fakhrul, Moudud, Abbas, Noman and Alal.
The case was filed under the Speedy Trial Act for creating panic among people, torching vehicles and preventing police from discharging their duties during the BNP’s rally in front of BNP’s Nayapaltan office on March 2, 2013 in the capital.
